If your ID proves you are over the age of 21, I suggest Grinder’s at High Noon in Leavenworth, Kansas. The bar is located downtown on 4th and Cherokee with the logo that almost resembles the US presidential seal. Grinder’s does have its own brewery on sight, as well as great craft beers located from around the country. Top choices include Missouri’s own Boulevard Pale Ale, Fat Tire Amber Ale, Great Divide Chocolate Yetti Imperial Stout and Firestone Walker Double Barrel Ale. The place does offer domestic beers for those traditional beer drinkers. Your preferred taste in beer can be found at Grinder’s due to the 40 different options you can choose from.
A fan of draft beers? The selection of draft beer changes several times a year with 16 different taps always in rotation. If you manage to get hungry from drinking, the restaurant has an outstanding menu of Burgers and Pizza. Reviews from Yelp and Facebook suggest the pizza is one of their best items on the menu.
On my last visit, we ordered a large pepperoni pizza. My father and I did not finish the pizza because of the size. Hand-tossed, with plenty of pepperoni, it was a great choice as we washed it down with one of their many options of cold beer. The price to eat there is reasonable for most college students. Grinder’s is split into a dining area and bar top, which makes for a great family dinner. If you plan on stopping there later with your friends, the bar does close at midnight on the weekends.
