There are three ways to leave the main Saint Mary Campus in Leavenworth. One of the ways is down a curving brick road. When Saint Mary was founded in 1923 a lot of the roads were made of brick. Here at Saint Mary the road is surrounded by trees overhanging over the road. As you near the exit onto the main road, there is a pond where you can find geese eating and enjoying the water. The thing that most people do not like about driving down a brick road is that it is a very bumpy ride! For me, when I drive down this road, I get a sense of peacefulness because it feels like I am surrounded by nature.
