Middlebury Bread Loaf School of English College established in 1920. The College’s campus is by the mountains in Ripton, Vermont. The College gets its name because it is by Bread Loaf Mountain; A mountain that looks like a loaf of bread. The campus has now expanded to new locations. It now has schools in Lincoln College at the University of Oxford, St. John’s College in New Mexico, and the University of North Carolina at Asheville.
Middlebury College makes it a priority to educating students with a tradition of liberal arts, which incorporates specific methods of discipline. The College specializes in mathematics, humanities, social sciences, arts, and languages. The College makes it a priority to have their students reflect, discuss, and be able to hold intensive interactions between the students and faculty members. This College is proud of its diverse community, with hard-working facilities, and the amount of co-curricular activities and support services. They offer all of these to serve educational purposes.
Middlebury is a residential college that notices that education happens in multiple environments including beyond the classroom. When the College was first established in the 1800s, the school has made it a goal to make and keep an atmosphere on-campus that is fosters good learning. Middlebury is committed to valuing a diverse and respectful community. Middlebury is in a natural setting in Vermont’s Champlain Valley, with the Green Mountains to the east and the Adirondacks to the west. This natural environment provided a refreshing and inspiring area for research.
