Hawaiian Bros Chicken – A student review
If you want to get some dinner after a late-night class, Hawaiian Bros is a good choice. They are known for their Hawaiian chicken.
My visit was excellent, and it was not busy since I came late at night after my workout. The inside of the restaurant has beautiful Hawaiian paintings. I like the Hawaiian atmosphere and music that was playing when we were waiting on our food. The atmosphere has a chill vibe. However, I came late at night, so only a few people were eating inside.
The menu consists of four different types of chicken. Their specialties are their Molokai chicken and macaroni salad. The sides they offer are vegetables, rice, and the famous macaroni salad. You can get a good-sized portion but if you’re not too hungry, they provide various sizes, with a minor, classic, or large plate.
I ordered half Molokai and half Honolulu. I would recommend the Molokai chicken for anyone who likes a spicy flavor. If you like ginger and sesame, the Honolulu chicken would be a good choice. The service was excellent, and everyone there was very friendly. Due to COVID-19, masks are required in the restaurant. The prices vary depending on the size and what kind of plate you order but they are reasonable for students on a tight budget. You can also get takeout, and they even offer delivery services for locals.
If you want to branch out to some new Hawaiian Food, you can make the drive to the Overland Park location in about 40 minutes.
