LEAVENWORTH-Students at the University of Saint Mary will be educated about sex
trafficking from 11 am to 1 pm on March 30th. The event will take place in the KLC and will be
available to everyone. Two victims of human trafficking will explain their experiences.
The speakers of this event will give feedback about what to look out for, as well as the statistics
of human trafficking. They will tell their stories to bring awareness to this situation and help
educate women.
Students will have the chance to view work from a local artist who spreads awareness of these
issues and have the opportunity to ask the artist questions.
“We are looking to educate the community on the issue and hopefully create meaningful action
on overcoming this problem globally,” said Jude Huntz, director of campus ministry at the
University of Saint Mary.
Everyone is invited to attend.
