Over the summer, the Lansing school district put in a new playground for the 4th and 5th graders who moved from the elementary school to what was the middle school which is now known as the intermediate school. The old high school became the middle school. The school district had to expand because more and more people are moving here and the elementary building was getting too small to hold preschool through 5th grade. A good thing about the new playground is that kids who live on Carriage crossing would not have to walk as far to go play on a playground like they would have walking all the way to the elementary school.
